The Cry for City Leadership

“Without the proper leadership, and relationship between those leaders, the church does not have the power to transform the city for Christ.” With this statement, John Alley begins to illustrate from the word of God the vital necessity for the elders of the city in which each of us lives to be identified and to rise up and take their rightful place in the “gates of the city”.

Explaining that spiritually, the city and the church of that city are one and the same, John states that it is the apostles who are responsible for identifying these elders, while the church is responsible for praying and seeking god for the restoration of the city eldership.

This message will clarify what is the difference between what God has set in place in the Bible and what has evolved down through the years of church traditions. It is a call to find once again God’s original plan for city leadership.
