Take Initiative do Something

Many believers sit around waiting for a specific word from God as to how to serve Him. They think that some magical moment or special call must occur before they can serve. The Bible however is full of examples of people who took initiative without a specific word from God. One of these was King David who did all kinds of exploits (killing Goliath, trying to build the Temple) without being told. He was a man after God's heart.

In this sermon David encourages believers to have a go for God, whilst at the same time remaining in submission to authority and listening if God does happen to give different directions, which also happened to King David regarding the Temple building.

The Bible is already outlined telling us to do a variety of things with the gospel and loving others. The specifics are often left to our desire and imagination. So take initiative and do something.
