Christ

Giving to God

Gift giving is a prominent part of Christmas traditions, and we are all familiar with the Bible story of the Wise Men Giving Gifts to the baby Jesus.  But the real gift at Christmas is that of Christ given to us.  God gives of himself, and so God is both the giver and the gift. In light of God's great gift, what will your gift be in return?  He deserves nothing less than our all, and yet even that is not sufficient a gift for the King of Kings.

Complete Surrender

Complete Surrender
John Alley speaks of the nature of Jesus, who was fully and properly man at the same time that he was fully and properly God. John describes in detail the historical deliberations of the Church elders on this subject and the origin of the Nicene Creed that we know today. The human race, explains John, owed a great debt of sin. Spiritual law demands that debts must be paid. God could not pay the price in the person of God, and so in order to carry out His plan of redemption He had to find a man who…

The Modus Operandi of Christ

The Modus Operandi of Christ
When the apostle John observed the empty tomb of Christ, he recognized something of Christ and believed. He believed without seeing Christ, but believed on evidence. We too have the work of Christ in our lives, and like John can see and believe based on his handiwork. Have you learned to recognise the MO of the Lord in the dealings of your life?

All Things – In Christ

In this message, David Hood takes the listener on a guided tour of the Bible to illustrate that God‘s will for us is that we attain to the fullness of Christ. But…….if something is to be filled, it must first be emptied. David then goes on to explain the way that the human soul resists being fully consumed by Christ. Christianity, says David, is all about Christ, not all about us. David exhorts the listener not to hold onto the things of the world, but to grow in grace, because Christina maturity and the fullness of Christ go hand…

A Clear View of Christ 2 – Set Your Heart

A Clear View of Christ 2 – Set Your Heart
David Alley takes up the theme for today by returning to the previous week’s test, Colossians 3:1-4. He then gives some instance from everyday life of what it means to really have the heart set on a certain thing, and what the result is when the desired objective is not realized. David explores the meaning of the Greek word zeteo which is translated “set your heart on” in today’s text. This word, he explains, means to seek something so that you will find it, to crave a certain thing. David then goes on to list some of the 115 times…

Wamberal 2013 Session 2 – No Ordinary Salvation

This series of 5 messages was recorded at Grace Community Church Wamberal, Central Coast NSW. There was a consistent theme brought up by the Holy Spirit of 'Oneness'. John Alley opened up this subject and gave some enlightening revelation about this 'Oneness' dynamic and how it outworks corporately and individually.

The Everlasting Covenant

The Everlasting Covenant
In this Good Friday message from Easter 2016, John Alley talks about the Everlasting Covenant. Beginning with an explanation of what covenant is, using biblical examples, John goes on to show how all of these covenants were in the context of one bigger everlasting covenant. This is the Covenant of Peace. That covenant was made in the blood of Jesus Christ, established before time began, as scripture attests. From this eternal covenant, which is pre-dates Adam, all of His promises, and all good things are possible, and come to us.
