Philip Alley continues his series of messages on the subject of boundaries in Community, this time focusing on the need for us to be stable. Philip begins by defining what it means to be stable and not easily moved, using Scripture to illustrate that our stability is found not in managed behavior but rather in knowing who we are in Christ and building our lives around the Rock who is Christ. Faith in God, says Philip, prevents us from being unstable, driven and tossed by the wind (James 1:5-8) We are not to conform to outer circumstances or allow ourselves to be swayed by volatile emotions, says Philip. Rather, we should be consistent, deeply trusting in God for our security at all times.
