Jesus said to the believers at Pergamum, "I know where you live... where Satan has his throne." And it was in Pergamum that Antipas, the Bishop appointed by St John, was roasted alive in a copper bull. In this sermon we continue an examination of the 7 churches of Revelation starting with Pergamum and then Thyatira. The faults and struggles of the churches are examined and lessons applied. The message then concludes with an exhortation to yield to Christ individually and corporately as a people. The letter to Thyatira states that Jesus is "he who searches hearts and minds" and this reminds us that Christ is looking for something. In knowing what He wants from us, let us determine to give it to Him.
