Michael Appleton begins this inspiring message with a reading from 1 Peter 1:13, which speaks of setting our hope fully on the grace to be given us when Christ Jesus is revealed.
So what is hope? Michael explores the Bible meaning of the word, examining the context in which it is used. Hope is not mere wishful thinking. But we need to be sure of where our hope should be placed. Michael makes clear that our hope cannot be placed in the temporal things of this world and lists things that our hope can safely be placed in. These include the word of God, the Holy Spirit, Christ living in us and the blood of Jesus. Our hope, says Michael, is Jesus. And the more we put our confidence in Him, the more the things we do will change.
