John Alley begins this message by teaching that if our attitude towards other people
is right and our desire is for them to find Christ and for Christ to have the inheritance for which He died, then the body of Christ has healthy (spiritual) blood. We need to pray and seek God with right attitudes and desires, and it will happen.
John then goes on to discuss the blood of Christ and the cross. The word of the cross, says John, is the power of God. By it we are reconciled to God and justified. John gives a comprehensive list of the mighty things that were accomplished by the shedding of Christ’s blood on the cross.
We need, says John, to become conscious of the need to really know and understand the gospel, so that at any given time we might have something to say to the people that we meet every day.
